The person that wrote this article has an overt hatred of people with mental illness. He/she blames the individual for mental health issues that were caused in childhood by dysfunctional parents or abusers. He/she should not be allowed to treat patients.
The bias is obvious if you read the article. I have been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. If the mental health professional had tried to tell me that I had anyone of the suggested traits, I would have knocked the crap out of him.
I will say this again. I have not met a competent psychiatrist or psychologist. Most of the people in this profession want to work for marketing firms and not have to deal with the mentally ill. That is fine but they need to be banned from having any contact with mental health patients.
This relates to dissociative disorders in that I have a dissociative disorder and have been trying to get help since 1992. The money and time that I have wasted gives me the right to judge the mental health system and the professions that work in it.
