Well on Friday I had a meeting with my mom and my therapist. I thought she could help explain the whole DID thing. The meeting was cut short (because I forgot I scheduled a dentist appointment close to the same time I'm a genius) but it happened. My mom wants to continue it and she wants to either bring the rest of the family in or find some good place that will give them the run down. She told my brother, sister, and stepdad and they...don't really understand (I mean my brother automatically brought up the movie Split so...) it but have so far handled it well enough. It went much better than I hoped. What she said was that she wasn't upset, but feels bad for me. Pity isn't particularly useful for anyone but at least she's OK with it. She hasn't officially met everyone but she responded well to everyone she has met. It feels a bit bizarre now TBH. She has tons of questions, which I anticipated. And is always asking who she's talking to....Which feels odd just by virtue of the fact that we're not used to it. But some of us are very happy now. Stacy likes the was she was accepted and that she can express herself and be known as herself, most of us feel that way. So while it will take everyone time to get comfortable with everything it was more or less a success.

I'm glad that it went well.

Awesome!

Here’s a site that I find full of useful information amongst others. Youtubers have posted videos of their experiences also.
