our new toddler alter is being the most dominant personality right now and it's making things difficult (it is also why i've not posted)
I don't know how to help her she can't say what she wants, she has tried to learn words but she's not doing tha good with it. I was told by someone who has seen her that she bites as well, and i'm not really sure how to take that and like I say how to help her |

we have a toddler insider who was the same way for many years.
our therapist worked specifically with her for a long time and developed a relationship with her, and eventually the toddler started, listening to what our therapist said, and finally stopped the biting and hitting. and since she has such a good relationship with T, she has been very motivated to learn to say new words in order to be able to talk to her. T also worked with her on her speech as well. T also learned some of the toddlers made up words that make no sense. Also taught her to count and say her ABCs. a lot of her speech is hard to understand. but she communicates with several of us now. |

thanks for your reply re: words, she's okay- well she knows how to count, and she knows her alphabet she also knows the words "cat", " dog", and her own name not quite grasped bigger things yet such as emotions or how she feels (which causes problems at times) |

Hang in there hon, it seems like we all have lived more than one childhood then most. I can understand it to be very frustrating to be switching so drastically out of character, but stay strong and do what you can to make her feel safe which keeps you all safe. Maybe she would like a good coloring book? I always liked coloring books with big black lines to hide the over color.

TRIGGER WARNING....
I'd get after the youtube copiers we have a few that are after some of the inpatient ones that are with a lot of views. I told them they are the ones that you insert story then move on. The only time you needed to ask them what is going on is when you don't understand. There is no reason to stop reading your books. I would really seek answers at the core I think this is very jealous motives here. If your therapist planted a seed to eat less then judge them too there is a fine line for wanting to lose weight and allowing a kid to be too near someone that is doing wrong.... I would basically get the guidance and move forward. I know from experience you will run out of words DONT COPY THEM DONT ASK UP PERIOD ........ |
