Hi

I had a reassessment with a Clinical Psychologist today. Since there is debate in my care team about what is going on

He agrees with CPTSD and SZA. Doesn't agree with OCD

But he provisionally said symptoms of depersonalisation, which I have to read about. And OSDD, pending the full MID which I did tonight

Sorry to appear out of nowhere with this boring post. I am just processing

Starting to feel just how shattered my mind is, thanks to someone who tortured me when I was an infant.

Feeling a lot of parts surfacing lately. Some nice. Some cruel.

Little Paul was fronting for longer than usual a few days ago. Lately life has become more stable but more stressful, difficult, and frightening. Feel like we're becoming more numb and dissociated in response.

I have to say I feel a little rejected

A PTSD forum I've been trying to join for a few days didn't approve my membership

I think, though, I signed up wrong. Getting mixed messages from the sign up process, luckily I can post for help as a guest user so I just did that.

I feel dizzy and dissociated
I get distressing dreams due to trauma
I have drowsiness 24/7
I feel zoned out but still conscious
I get angry and snappy
I lose patience

welcome.

this forum board is not very active since March 2022, when the new standards for diagnosing and treating dissociative disorders, symptoms, problems and behaviors listings changed.

everything is done more individualized now, between the mental health treatment provider and their clients. where the focus isnt on things you can google or read about in a forum.

its more personal and individualized now, only you can tell your treatment provider the hows, whats wheres, whens triggers, and so on and so forth, all those things that are now covered by federal and state mental health privacy and confidentiality.

Add to that treatment providers now have to fully inform their clients about their mental disorders and address the deeper more private issues once and for all, instead of just sweeping the surface and keep having to sweep the surface.

the result of these changes in the real world (offline) and more changes in mental health systems around the world, dissociative disorder forum boards are fizzling out or going inactive for weeks, months and in some websites years.

my suggestion.... contact your treatment provider, they may be able to adjust medications if you are on any and provide you with some therapy tools so that you dont feel so drowsy and so on. they can help you look under the surface to the deeper more private issues that need to be addressed to clear up any dissociative problems you may be having.

Unfortunately, in some areas, the treatments are not individualised. Cookie cutter, one size fits all mistreatments abound.

Also, as I have mentioned before, NOT everyone can tolerate the meds which are all that are offered by some ''Experts''.

Pete Walker is a writer who might be helpful or of interest to you. He writes about CPTSD. He is insightful and intelligent. Unlike some ''Experts'' I have crossed paths with (irl)

I (host-Sam) trying to figure out my parts, but right now the glass is very shattered. I know I have a little who doesn't want anyone to know her name and two persecutors (Guy and the one that goes by Eleven). Based on some stuff I've written I feel like I have a very angry protector, but he feels totally disconnected from everyone else.
