I like it as a 'map'. It makes sense to me anyways. I've got some dissociating problems... still trying to figure out to what extent. Maybe I'll never really know. *shrug*

I agree... it's probably hard to ever understand it all completely.
But to live in this type of confusion is so energy consuming... don't you think?... I tend to over analyze everything in my life into the tiniest details. That's my Aspergers talking... and the OCD... Thank you for viewing my image, my friend! |

Hi daynnight, we didn't find trying to map our system at all useful, we over analyse too. the idea of mapping seemed good to us but it didn't work for us. we do know it helps some ppl though, so if it's helping you go with it ![]() we have often wondered if we might have Aspergers, but it has not been dxed if so ![]() we suspect most DID systems are not truly mappable ![]()

Thank you so much for your input, Zorah!
Yeah you're probably right about it not really being mappable. It's my wish for the concrete view (caused by Aspergers) trying to create a picture of it... I suppose. |

Hi DayNight
![]() Your diagram reminds me of something T said once a long time ago about Emotional mind and Rational mind (She got it from DBT, I think. I remember we tried to do some DBT type stuff in the very beginning, but it did not work for me due to the severe dissociation from DID). From what I remember though, the emotional mind wants to do all those fun things, lighten up, have fun, etc (sometimes to the detriment of self). The rational mind on the other hand is rigid in thinking, a rule follower, perfectionist, unable to think about fun because it's always thinking about the consequences. In between those two places, where ultimately a body wants to be, is something she called a wise mind, which is a balance between those other two places in our minds. That's the place where we can have fun, be adventurous but not to the degree that is detrimental to self. In fact we are both both (rational and emotional), but perhaps depending on the situation, we lean toward one side or the other. The goal would be to balance between the two (wise mind) I think in order to maybe have a little more peace and harmony. It was a very long time that T talked about this so someone else might have a better understanding of this all. Hope that helped a little. Best of luck trying to figure things out. ![]() ![]() ![]()

For sure it's not. I think it probably takes time and practice a lot. Hang in there. You're doing well.
PS. I love your tetris animation. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
