they have probably been answered over and over again, but i am having trouble concentrating on anything and i can't find what i am looking for. first question is, what does co-conscience feel like, second question, can someone be co-conscience with some, but not all alters? i feel like i am getting crazier by the minute.

Hi lostone,
I can't answer your first question as I am not co-conscious as of yet. However, I can tell you that T has said before that some parts of my brain do know other parts exist and some don't know any other part exists. She has also said that some parts know of some parts, but not all.

I think it just depends on the person? Just remember, you are not crazy. Dissociation comes from needing to protect oneself from unacceptable things. It's a coping mechanism and one can learn other coping skills to help dissociate less. Hang in there.

Hey Lost!! I hope I can help you.

You can be co-councious with only some alts and not others.
I am mostly co-councious with my alt Pip, co-counicus I believe diffrent for everyone..for me it feels like Pip is always present..I can hear him and he comments on things..if he takes over I am there, most of the time, and I will rember almost everything that happens.

You are not crazy hun, it is okay, no question is a bad question, you have to ask questions in order to learn!! I had, and still have lots of questions over DID and alters.

My BF is a lot more connected with Jonny and Jonathan. They aren't always together, but sometimes they can all listen to music, have conversations among themselves, remember what the others did.
There's a lot less connection with J.T. or The Core. Jon doesn't even know The Core exists, and I'm not sure he knows about J.T. either.

I'd tell you more, but I'm on the outside. I'm looking in. I'm still trying to understand too.
I don't think there ARE any stupid questions!
