Does any one else ever find that they have combined two (maybe three) different letters or thoughts when writing? - having to go back and correct your post so it makes sense when read.

oh yea, all the time. I try never to just post and submit right away because of that reason. I never know what's in my posts by the time I get done, lol.

I hate having to do the double checking thing all the time lately and I often wonder what the other person was trying to say in the middle of my posting.

Wow! Yes. All the time. I used to do a thing with a pad and a pen called brainstorming, it help with communication. Now I use the computer.

Sometimes I just type, allowing whatever comes to come out. Then when reading it back I often get some quite useful information.

While post writing, I have managed to get that under control by focussing on the post I’m replying to and working to keep my reply short.

Some other part might ‘pop’ in if I begin to ramble.

That’s the good thing about being on boards like this one, people don’t mind if you wander off topic a bit - it’s kind of expected.

I get the letters mixed up all the time. Sometimes I mess up my words too putting ones I didn't mean to. My brain and fingers seem to take on a life of their own.

Rhapsody, I'm so glad I said something right that helped someone else. My brain doesn't always work like everyone elses and I find it hard to say what I want to.

Hello rhapsody,

something I am finding more and more is that many people experience things that seem quite different to me at first but when I look closer there are real patterns.. so for example I can control what I write (unless I open up and allow a stream of consciousness to come out) but then I have a highly controlling part that deals with the majority of day to day life and that involves a lot of writing.

What I can't "control" is things that are drawn because somehow that seems to access a more primal/younger part of my brain and then I experience what you have talked about. So I can start doodling one thing and end up in a whole other place and I don't know/remember how I got there.

I think its because more repressed parts see in pictures and images rather than words.

It sort of sounds similar to what you are describing.

Sorry if this is nonsense.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
