Are people more prone to flashbacks after a panic attack? I had a bad panic attack(my very 1st panic attack ever) the evening before I had my flashback and I was just wondering.

Thanks,
Sunnye

They might be related. I dont have flashbacks just anxiety attacks. and sometimes i get a flashback or body memory and no anxiety attack. so I am not sure for me they are not related.

Thanks, Guys. I don't know if it was the panic attack or the terrible experience in the ER(I went to the ER for the panic attack and wasn't treated well--felt completely helpless).

So was not being treated well with the result then feeling helpless, is this what triggered your flashback do you think?

Thanks for the input, shybabygirl. I wasn't sure what really triggered the flashback.

I think so. The feeling of helplessness in the ER must have been very close to the helplessness I felt as a little girl in the event which was suppressed by my mind.
