I'm not married to this man, but have been in a relationship with him for going on 10 years. Here goes, I feel trapped with him because, I have no outside support from no-one. What makes it so difficult to leave is, we had to take my granddaughter over two years ago. I will do anything to make sure she feels secure. As she has been through allot, and has allot of mood disorders. So much as to no one will even babysit her.
Everyone in the family refuses to help. They run for cover when we used to visit their house. Well I refuse to give up on her. Though it's very hard. We moved 1200 miles away from home 2 years ago, thinking it would be better here. Since we have moved here, I have no friends at all, just him. He is very supportive of us having her, but then sometimes complains, why we never have time for our self. I couldn't understand why no one was talking to me here. His step mom told me, that he told them I was crazy. He has a very bad temper, starts yelling and going off to the point it scares me. Never does anything for our Anniversary or birthdays. When he does work, he acts like I should pay him with sex. I feel like I'm slowly dying, and am trying so hard to be strong for my granddaughter. We just have no one to turn too. I'm on disability for Major Depression, but the medications, mostly keep it hidden. As I also watch Joel & Joyce. People have told me to leave him, but we have no where to go, no one to turn too. Any suggestions? |

Hi - I wish I knew what to tell you. Is there ANY way you can move back home?? If you got there, would anyone take you in?? I can't believe that ALL your family would leave you out on the streets but I have heard of such things, as bad as it is.
Bless your heart, I know the feeling of being trapped. It's awful. But if you want to get out bad enough, you'll find a way somehow. Even if you have to live in a shelter, it's probably better than living there. I wish I knew of a better solution - but I don't. I wish you the very best of luck. By the way, who's home are you living in?? Is it yours or his?? Are you renting or did you buy it? Take care sweetie. Hugs, Lee |
