Is 9:17pm too late to eat? I haven't eaten today, (except a single Reese Cup earlier) bought a lot of groceries and was considering it. Already feel humongously fat and out of control of my eating. (I have eaten at least once every day for about 3 days and forced myself to eat breakfast AND dinner yesterday) Feeling like its time to fast again... Scared if I eat something it will lead to a lot of things... Not to mention I have always heard eating after (pm makes you gain more weight....

It's never too late to eat. Yes, your body has less time to burn off calories if you eat a lot later in the evening before bed, but it's also good for your body overall to actually eat too.

I actually just made perogies for myself at 11pm at night! (It's now almost 1:30, yawn!)

Thanks Christina, I actually wound up eating a salad with cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, and green olives and some aged Asagio dressing then since my therapist told me yesterday to get something I would consider a treat for myself, I had a small bowl of Vanilla Ice Cream With Milk, Ovaltine, and Hershey's Syrup. It was all SO sinful, tasted wonderful but of course am having the eaters remorse and feeling like I totally wrecked my weight and need to fast...

Well done for fighting through it and having something to eat, that's great.

I don't think any time is too late to eat, unless you are just eating lots and lots all day and then for health reasons should possibly bring in some 'rules' to help, and people often have a thing like "I won't eat after Xpm".... but, I don't think, if you're eating a normal amount, that it matters when you eat. I spent a year and a half in Spain and it's normal over there to eat dinner anywhere from 9pm to 12am and it didn't affect my weight at all, and infact obesity doesn't seem to be that common in Spain either.

That sounds delicious.

(Except I'm allergic to tomato and I don't like olives )

You did NOT wreck your diet. Having a small portion of something you enjoy sporadically is actually better for your diet/weight than if you just go on a binge one day and eat a ton of stuff you really like ... it can make you feel really sick too!

It's true! I actually read it in an article where they were asking people at 100+ yrs of age how they've lived so long and what tips they would give for a happy, healthy, long life. And that's actually one of them. (There probably is other resources that say the same thing too!)
