For the past three days I noticed blood in my vomit, and it was barely any the first day, but the amount of it has been increasing, and I'm not sure what I should do. I don't even know if I'm allowed to talk about this here, but I am sort of desperate and I don't know where else to turn, so if anyone has experienced this or has an idea what this could be please respond because it's making me nervous.

likely you have abraded the inside of your esophagus so badly that it is bleeding. bright red blood is likely from esophogus source while black or dark brown blood is more likely from the stomach
one of the things that purging can do is cause a bleeding ulcer or other aabscess.
JUST BEING INFORMATIVE, hope this helps

Thank you so much for your input, I really value it. It was bright red and I know that is not as bad as darker colored, but I am still concerned because this has never happened before.

you must contact your medical doctor. none of us are qualified to give you this type of medical information. i know its really hard - especially if your doctor is unaware of your ED but you need to. please be safe

It's a good idea to get to a doctor about that. You could have torn something in there.

Thank you guys. The amount is decreasing so I don't think it is that big of an issue, or whatever is wrong must be healing.

I wouldn't push my luck on it though......what about the next time???? Things like that are red flags that we need to pay attention to....it's our body telling us that we shouldn't be treating it the was we are.

When we refuse to listen to the small warnings that our body gives us, & we continue to push our luck.....it can end up being a very serious situation the next time, or the next time after that....to the point where the esophagus can actually rupture, Esophageal problems, Vocal chord damage & Stomach ulcers (which has already been commented on). The blood is a warning sign that you are doing damage already to yourself.....just because it heals this time doesn't mean that something worse won't happen the next time.

Just something to think about.....is it really worth taking more chances when your body is already warning you that you are hurting it? Know it's difficult....not an easy thing to change, but when you are seeing signs of damage.....it's important to heed your bodies warning signs.

That may mean the purging isn't reacting well to your stomach acids and other insides. Be careful, it may be something serious, you may want to consider asking your doctor about it.
