I completely relate to how out of control you feel. Really. I have recently had moments like that too.
All I can do is encourage you to look within and at your life and really ask yourself if this is the life you want? Because you CAN get better with the right tools and support! But you have to want it more than anything else. You have to want it more than you want the satisfaction you get from binging and purging. You have to want it more than you want to be thin You have to want it more than anything. A good book to start off with is Bulimia: A Guide To Recovery & The Overcoming Bulimia Workbook: Your Comprehensive, Step-By-Step Guide to Recovery Also if you believe there is a power greater than yourself I encourage you to check out http://www.eatingdisordersanonymous.org It is a program based on the 12 steps of AA. They hold many online meetings and its a great place to find fellowship and support. To answer your question, I believe it will only be enough when we decide its enough! When we admit what we are doing in not working and that a power greater than ourselves can restore us to sanity. Feel free to get in touch with me if you want to talk more |

Hi Lindsey,
I think sometimes we have to make the decision as to what our bottoms are going to look like. Hopefully this can be your bottom. Mine was quite intense as I waited a long time before i got back into treatment. But you sound like you have been to treatment before so you know what it feels like in recovery. Let that good clean feeling motivate you to get the help that you need. Love and hugs, Tara |
