Hi all

I have Bipolar II and I take several medications including olanzapine which increases my appetite and makes me feel hungry most of the time resulting in a perfectly noticeable weight gain. From today morning (it's 8 pm now) I've started to kind of hate food. I am hungry but I have hardly any desire to eat. Can this develop into an eating disorder? I'm a professional karateka and I don't want my mental problems to ruin my sport life any more than they're doing right now

HI I have BP as well, and that is how I feel everyday....I HATE food all the time but have incredible urges to eat a lot at one time and then, well you know. I have had bulimia since the age of 13, and living with it is HELL...... I don't give the best advice, however, I will say to you, being that a friend of mine was much like you....developed a hate for food...... maybe you should just see someone to make sure you are not developing one. Just to be safe. Hope everything goes well with you.
Thanks for this!

Disorderd eating is the result of eating food in a disorganised manner like in the late night then no breakfast in the morning and then some heavy food in noon. All these circumstances make a disorederd eating.
