I'm trying to get a friend of mine to get help for her ed. I was wondering if any of you know about what they do for someone with an ED, Specificaly inpatient, who keeps very strict kosher?

I assume it would depend on the inpatient facility. If you or she are looking I would suggest calling them and asking. It depends on the facility itself what they can offer. I know that most are willing to work around dietary needs but it does depend on their cooks and knowledge of different dietary requirements.

Hey. I actually just saw your post and registered just so I could answer you. I keep kosher as well. They is an eating disorder facility called Renfrew, and they have a kosher track for anyone who needs it. Let me know if that works out. Good luck!
Thanks for this!

I just looked it up, and um.... it's in Florida, so it's kinda not anywhere close to me at all. It helps to know that such a thing exists though! Thanks for this Shortie.

Renfrew's main campus is in Philadelphia I believe; I'd still call them and ask advice?

Not sure if this helps, but I found this site which lists a number of treatment centres in Canada - http://www.bulimia.com/client/client...ment2.cfm/#can

If you can find some in your area it might be worth looking for a website or giving them a call and asking about what they can provide
