Next week I go in to get an endoscopy to find out if I have any tares or ulcers in my throat or stomach. I'm scared because they have to put me under and that always hurts. I'll tell everyone how it goes but this completely sucks!!!

It is sad when we know the possibilities & make our choices anyway, most of the time thinking it can't happen to us.....oh, so many things like that go on in our lives besides the bulimia.
Hoping that all your tests turn well & that you haven't caused yourself any of that kind of damage......but we definitely need to consider the consequences to all of the things we choose to do in our lives....unfortunately, most of the time we don't consider until after it's too late.....hope that's not the case for you

I really feel it's my Dr.'s and husband over-reacting to my slip-up but I'll do it to appease them. If it comes out bad then we deal with that. I had to get a bone density test about 10 yrs ago and that came out fine. I'm honestly willing to deal with the consequences and be alive then the other options.

Dr. had to leave the country for a family emergency so it's on 11/1 @ 9 am. I'm so glad it was postponed! I'm getting more nervous though but I have to 'see' the damage.

Had the endoscopy... Everything is clear but my husband was told I have to stop my heavy drinking because my digestion is so slow. I haven't drank in over 12 years.

So the slow digestion is a result of your ED.....obviously, not drinking from 12 years ago?

My metabolism is so shot I couldn't even digest 4 chicken wing in over 11 hours. Yeah ED is the culprit. So there is some damage as far as digesting that I don't know if it can be fully be restored to normal limits.

Thought it was mostly enzimes that did the digestion in our stomachs????......maybe a supliment that's available.
