So my last post was about going into rehab. And I am... Granted, as the day grows closer, I am getting more and more anxious. I know this is what I need. I just can't help but wonder.
I turn 21 on the 17th of this month, and have a massive party day planned. I'm not a drinker, but I feel like I should get it out of my system before I sign my life away for a few months. I don't do well when I am not "in control". Like many of us. So this idea is absolutely insane. But I know it's for the best right? I dunno. I leave for Arizona in 11 days... And I'm just now packing my life up to put in storage. I procrastinate til the very last minute. And then I frantically figure it out. I guess I just need someone to tell me that I'll be ok. I need someone to tell me that it's worth it. That I'm not doing this for no reason. That the doctors and therapists are only there to help me... Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk 2 |

Hi Bellestrand, you will be okay and it is worth it. I learned alot about myself and some coping stills. I remember in group therapy, the therapist saying it doesn't have to be the same as it was before. I don't know if this makes since to you right now, but we were talking about things that bother us (the group was), so this made since to me because in my mind things would always be the same. Go hon, you have nothing to lose.

I am thinking of you! I will say that although it is VERY scary to go, it will be worth it. I was Mortified when I went Inpatient for 3 months, and for about the first month, I didn't think they were there to help me either. But as time passed, it got better and although I am still struggling today, I am Much healthier physically and well, a bit better emotionally...

Dear BellaStrange,
You will be ok. It is worth it. The doctors and therapists are only there to help you... Try not to distress yourself, sweet Bella. Even those of us that should choose to do the same, but are not, know that what you are doing is the wisest, and bravest thing to do. Take care of yourself, and I will hope for your happiness and success. In Care and Sincerity, -Fleeing Bellocq |

Bella Strange Welcome and you will do just amazingly as it sounds like you are committed to really doing this, please, please do it your whole world and perspective will change, you will learn new coping skills along with making new friends, it may take awhile to go to know everyone, but stick with it because i am a living proof that this works, im 52 now and in my 20's i went through the same thing. I am happily married now with a 22 year old son, if that counts for anything. So Please do what your heart tells you and get the help you need there are so many people who don't get help that have had awful things happen to them because they never got into helping themselves but should have that is why i have to congradulate you on the first step-getting help and addmitting it too. Good Luck-avlady

I too have a success story to share. I went to a 5 week program (also in AZ) 14 months ago and have ED-free since then.
Trust the program, do the work and let them love on you, guide you and teach you. It will be okay! |
