So, I used to have bulimic issues, Like at the worst it was a few times a week- but mostly like only a few times a month. So after having sore throat issues and general worries about what I might be doing to the lining of my esophagus (even though I ever did it as frequently as I hear some people do), I vowed not to ever purge again, So I just have these occasional binging episodes, like tonight- along with consuming natural laxative like foods (yogurt with raisins and turmeric powder and ground flaxseed and wheatgerm mixed in). I actually planned on purging, even though I haven't done so in over 6 months- I feel so fat and bloated and like a piece of crap right now. I've always used food to cope with my emotions- and so instead of just riding through my grumpy mood, I also feel like crap now too. At least I don't also have the guilt from purging . . .. .

Congratulations for not purging. You will feel better and can get back on track.

Thats important. I wish these things could just be healed and thats that. But they seem to surface again and again. I do think that each time I show mastery over them,eg what you did: writing about it and not purging. I think it loses its grip.

Sometimes each time a person manages to control the urge, its big progress.
