I think I probably have one, but I wondered if some of you smart ladies could put what an eating disorder is into words.

Yes, it changes from person to person, imo. Though of course, as listed, there have to be some set symptoms.
Really, technically, anything out of the "normal" order of things is a "disorder." If you find yourself not eating properly to sustain good health, or if it bothers you to do so... there's some disorder to your eating. But as you probably have already seen from the others, the two main ones are bulimia and anorexia nervosa. I'm sure DocJohn has defintions and such to them under the DISORDERS tab. TC!

1 other symptom is bad teeth and gums threw purging, the stomach acid erodes the tooth enamel making them more fragile
