During the day I have to force myself to eat. I'm really not hungry and won't feel hungry for weeks. I eat when I realize I haven't eaten in a while(days). I don't consciously avoid food or starve on purpose. I legitimately am not hungry. Is anyone going through this? Would love to know I'm not alone

It appears that medicines to treat ADHD diminish appetite
The Link between ADHD and Obesity | Psych Central
Quote:
The study, which interviewed 5,680 children with ADHD, found that only 57.2 percent of those with ADHD took medications. The authors note that those who take attention deficit disorder medication are 1.6 times more likely to be underweight than those who do not take medication. This trend may be due to the side effects of stimulants, which the NIH states are the primary drug for ADHD. These side effects include weight loss and a reduced appetite.
Be careful before changing your meds without the doctors advice. The same links says that those not taking meds are more likely to be overweight plus symptoms of ADHD could become worse.

Foods like yogurt or milk if tolerated can give basic building blocks like protein and calcium. Be careful, long term undereating can produce emaciation from starving the body. Some well known people have gotten seriiously sick or worse by starving the body.

Candc thanks for replying, but I'm not on medication for the ADHD and never have been. I choose to avoid medication whenever possible (:
