i go through "cycles"..........I go through cycles of not eating nearly enough (like today) and cycles of binge eating (like yesterday) so I don't really know where I belong in here.......

That is NORMAL for "disordered eating". Not clasdified as an "eating disorder".....but "disordered eating"

I agree that eating regularly helps this. When recovering from anorexia I would cycle through periods of bingeing and restricting. For me it also helped to incorporate protein and/or healthy fat into my meals. These helped keep my blood sugar stable I think, and keep the urges to binge at bay. Eating healthy snacks helped me, too.
