Something happened three days ago that has triggered me. I am eating food like a food contest. I am non stop. I am stuck on stupid.

How are you now? Eating can be comforting, distracting, and a way to cope. If you had been restricting, than it's harder not to binge, especially when triggered. But what you eat in one day doesn't matter so much in the long run as the average of what you typically eat. Maybe you could work towards having a healthy average. I'm not sure this is any help, but wanted to say something. You're not stupid, and definitely not alone in reacting that way to being triggered.
