I failed. I have been able to make it for a week and a half of no bingnig or purging. Then...like an absolute idot I failed and binged and purged big time. I am hurting inside - emotionally. made it...then... made it...then... made it...then... made it...then... made it...then...

Recovery isn't linear. We can't expect ourselves to suddenly be "perfect", and let go of coping mechanisms that have served us for a long time.

Focus on what you learned during that week and a half, and keep moving forward.

Many many made it...then... made it...then... made it...then... to you!

I agree with earthmama.

Recovery is hard - but congratulate yourself, because it's hard to get to 1.5 weeks. This is a setback, but it doesn't make you a failure, in any way.

im happy to hear you made it a week and a half, my longest is a week... it seemed so frustrating because every single week i would throw up, no matter how hard i tried. it was like something triggered in my brain.
don't give up now.
just imagine how much better you are doing... a week & 1/2 is way better for you than throwing up every day. or ever 2 days and so on.
you are doing just fine! see how long you can go the next week, and then the next... but don't punish yourself when you slip.
just keep stayin positive and know that you will get better, because you will. and if you need someone to chat to i'll listen! maybe we can try to not purge together or something.
good luck and take care!
and especially dont be so hard on yourself!!

Thank you all for your encouraging words. I think stress and anxiety tends to trigger and increase the binge/purge cycle. It will always be my "best friend" is the realization that I am coming to. Some times it is there and some times it is at a distance, but always there willing to come running if needed. (24 hours since my last purge) The clock is ticking we'll see how far I can hold off the urge.....
