Have you experienced this? What's it mean? I was riding the bus reading a book when a sudden wave hit me - I felt nauseous, shaky, my head was full of pressure, I had to breathe faster, when I stood I was afraid I'd fall over, I was really dizzy. I know I wasn't dehydrated, and I'd eaten today - not a whole lot, but some. Any idea? I ate when I got inside and sat down... but I'm not sure I'm better.

Your blood sugar is probably low. You not even probably close to keeping it at a normal level. Your blood pressure is probably low and you needed to brath more to hyper ventalate your blood stream. You probably arn't even taking in close to enough cal to keep your system going. So when you stand up your body calls for more blood and energy and you and your heart does not have it. This is a warning sign. Believe me. I've been paddled twice. But I am not a doctor wich by the way you need to go see. Oh ya and drink a glass of oj if your bulimic please go to er your electrolights are probably all off. And depending on your restricting that also may be the case. Be careful. Be nice to yourself. I'm not a doctor but these are things that your body just doesn't do your lacking something hun.TIFFERS

Blood sugar probably isn't too bad... it's naturally very high, so I take medicine that keeps it on the upper side of normal, so it's probably on the upper side of low now...
I checked, I took in 51% of the calories I should... it felt like more than that! I was trying to get a little more... must be this med I'm taking... decreases appetite.
I am getting pretty scared about this, I honestly didn't think I'd have major problems so long as I'm not underweight and eat healthy when I do eat. Ha! I really thought I could control it. How naive. I don't know, maybe I could see a doctor next week. But I'd have to make the choice to eat myself. I don't know that I'm ready to do that. :-/
I'm not bulimic.

It will just get a little worse, then worse. Are you diabetic? 51 percent is nothing and hun this is really nothing to goof around with. Eating healthy is good. But you know that you are restricting to loose weight and if it's causing health issues. And you getting side affects meds or not talk to someone that can help you be honest. Be safe. I want you to remember something that I have ingrained in myself. I can always go back to my ed if I have to after if I ask for help. But if I don't I can NEVER ask for my life back. K hugs TIFFERS

Hi Taonuviel,

Im VERY sensitive to travel motion. I cannot ride in the back seat of a car . I get sick ridding buses. If Im reading and riding in a car or bus that makes me very queezey.

It sound like it could be low bloodpressure or a change in it in some way.
I also get this response from various antidepressants as well as codine derivitive pain killers.

I'm not a good canidate for drugs of any sort period. The less I use the better . Alchohol is in the mix.

Im feeling quezzey myself but I think its the flu .

got to get back to bed.

I'm pre-type II diabetic. So my blood sugar is naturally high, and if unmanaged it would turn into diabetes.
I'm going to try to eat a bit more... I found a calculating journal online so I can see what I'm getting...
...I'm not scared of dying... I wouldn't mind a bit... I'm just scared of creating problems I'd have to live with...

Aurora, sometimes I feel a bit queasy when reading on the bus, especially if it's gray out like it was. But this was very different, very overwhelming, and very scary. :-/

Hey Tao,

This came to me later , what about a panic attack? Ive had a few of these.

One where I had just had my knee surgery and I was taking a shower and glanced down at my knee and it was balck and blue. this set off a chain of events that had me giving an adress in the ER I had not used in twenty years. I knew right then I was in the midst of something but I didn't know what a panic attack was.

strange to be in one yet not know whats happening.

any way .. just a thought. how fear can makes make blood pressure change like a flight or fight response .

Let us know what you come up with.

Patricia

That is interesting because when I read your initial post, the first thing that came to my mind also was a panic attack. You description was exactly what I feel when going through a panic attack.

It's also how I have felt right before I would pass out from not eating enough food.. when my blood pressure drops. Many causes for this kind of feeling along with some med also made me feel that way, but my first through was panic attack even when I am not really panicked about anything.

Hope you find an answer.....but body doesn't like to give up it's secrets easily

It sounds like your blood sugar dropped or something around that. I have had that problem in th past. I remember passing out all the time in school, especially after PE. I tried to live on salads, and everything that was low calorie. Now in my adult life, I can not go for more then 3 hours with out at least munching on something small, and most my food goes to the dog, or my brother, especially when it is bad. I hope you find out what is happening, and take care of it soon, and feel better fast.
