1) Have Compassion
a. One exercise for practicing compassion is to close your eyes and imagine what caring about yourself “looks like.” How do you start and end your day? Be descriptive, use details. Feel yourself experiencing a full day of compassionate thoughts, words, and actions. Really enjoy this experience. When you can truly see the love as it plays, you will manifest the ensuing results of peace and joy.
b. Now, try something a bit more active. Collect pictures of yourself as a child. As vividly as you can, imagine spending a day with this child. Where do you take her? To the park for a swing fest? On a hike with a picnic lunch? To the ice-cream shop for a scoop of peppermint stick? Spend some time, maybe every day for one week, with a different photo. Eventually you will come to recognize that the child in those pictures is really yourself- worthy of all good things.
Thanks for this!
