i figured, since i visit PC just about every day, i should post about my new fitness routine and keep myself motivated. my husband has been on it since Monday. he picked out exercises that i can do that won't put pressure on my ankles. we are both noticing improvements.
i'm not doing measurements or anything. just trying to get myself back into shape. i have a large bike tire sitting on my pelvis that i need to get rid of, haha. today is day five of our combined efforts to get into better shape. my husband has done two more days than i have, as he started on Monday and i didn't get a chance to until Tuesday, and then Wednesday i didn't get a chance to at all. but i have worked out three days out of the four since i've been involved and i'm noticing a difference in how i feel. my metabolism seems to be working faster already, and i find myself hungry more often. usually, i only eat a couple times a day and drink a lot. but i've been getting dizzy and have had low blood sugar in the past week so that's fun. but i'm not too worried about that. i'm just going to keep exercising. ten minutes of purposeful exercise a day is a lot more than what i was doing, haha. so this is good. it's a far cry from what i used to do before my ankle went out and before the kids, but i'm hoping i can work my way back up to that. so yeah...just kind of putting this out there to keep me going. |

skipped yesterday, but worked out today while at work. i do a lot of standing so i did a bunch of standing leg lifts. it was fun. did four different exercises, 30 reps each, a couple times, while no one was around, haha. fun fun. and a lot of bouncing in place. more movement means more burned.
husband wanted to chill tonight but i'm not letting him, haha. |

Well done on starting your new fitness regime. I have recently started cross fit and am finding it very intense. I haven't noticed much change yet but all in good time.

Can I join?
This may sound like a lot, but my workout is a plodding pace--low intensity for now. 1 hour treadmill 20 minutes eliptical 15 min bike trying to do this every day. let's see how it goes |
