Yippee! My spin bike came. My dad and I took everything up to my room and tomorrow it will get put together.

Still have to cancel the gym membership. Doc only wants me bike riding or in a pool. I have a dislike...STRONG dislike for being in water unless it's a shower...so biking it is. I have pain in the bottom of my right foot that gets unbearable being on my feet. He says it's plantar fasciitis... been doing all the exercises I can find for it. Hopefully in the future I will be able to go back to walking. If not I'll make biking my new passion for exercise.

Luckily in the 2 weeks I quit exercising I didn't gain much if any weight.

Great news about the spin bike hope you have a lot of fun with it

I've got the same thing with my feet plus other issues so was given the same options as you ... prefer walking!

I noticed i was stepping funny getting out of bed and that was causing or aggravating plantar fasciitis. So i started making sure i put both feet flat on the floor THEN get up. Or put my feet directly into slippers with a bit of buildup. And i stretched my feet in bed when there was no weight on them.

Finally got the thing together today...will start using it tomorrow. Starting with a 1/2 hour a day. Then gradually work up to about an hour.

Did my first workout on the bike today. Only 20 minutes and I was exhausted. So my plan...2 20 minute workouts a day at least 3 days a week and the rest of the days 1 20 minute workout until I can work up to 1 40 minute workout everyday.
