Hello. So I tried to lose weight a while ago. I lost 20 pounds. Now, I regained it all back, and even an extra 10 pounds, I like food a lot. It tastes so good and it makes me feel happy so that's why I eat a lot, mainly junk food. I also do this because my mom says no to junk food all the time, and my dad doesn't care really. I exercise by walking 15 mins every weekday morning and 15-20 mins in the afternoon by walking. There is no short-term reward for losing weight. I just do it because others want me to, but I want to look healthy for once. I started eating too much when I became depressed 5 years ago. I have been using LoseIt. It's a great app, but again, no motivation to lose weight. I think I do enough exercise in a day. I do soccer once a week also. But I am overloaded right now so I'm super stressed and don't get enough sleep at all. I want to sleep more, but I feel like I don't have enough time. Anyways, any tips to stay motivated would be good. I feel all or nothing for food. Like I eat food or don't eat food. Thanks for the response Want to lose weight, but not motivated.

I think I wrote most of what I have to say on this subject, a couple of minutes ago in reply to another of your Threads on this topic.

Despite the fact that you're walking a couple of times a day, if you're gaining weight, you must be eating too much for the amount of exercise you're getting. Of course, not getting enough sleep can also be a complicating factor here. If your eating habits are a response to depression, then perhaps it is necessary to treat the depression before you can hope to successfully stop overeating. However, it is true that, if you have no motivation of your own to lose weight, & you're mostly just trying to do it because others say you should, you're probably unlikely to succeed. Food is simply too alluring.

Perhaps if, at some point, you decide you really do want to lose weight, then a weight loss program might be the way to go. This would provide you with the structure & the tools to lose your excess weight. Really, though, losing weight, & keeping it off, is a real challenge. This is why there are so many overweight people in our society nowadays.
