Hello Elizabeth Swan: I am sorry to read that you are struggling. I see that you live in Pakistan. I don't know anything about what options are available to you. From what you wrote, it sounds like getting into a regular physical exercise routine would be of benefit, both with regard to your weight as well as with regard to your depression. Some individual therapy might also be helpful in order to deal with your depression. This might also help you to maximize your motivation. Group therapy can also be helpful in this regard. I know that losing weight can be a challenge, especially when your work is sedentary. I hope that you will be able to find the motivation you need to accomplish your goal. Good luck!

Consider veganism. If done well, it's the best diet.

I do it both for compassion and for health.

And exercise daily.

Start little by little.

Going for a daily walk is a great place to start. It will slowly increase your cardiovascular capacity, you can go as slow or fast as you are able to, and it will also help combat the depression. Daily activity is a great tool in the battle! Once you are comfortable moving every day you may find that you want to make other changes--to your diet or to increase your physical activity. But start small, and recognize that change doesn't happen overnight!

It deeply saddens me when people feel terrible due to their weight. I wish there was a way to tell people that there is nothing wrong with being overweight, but there is none.

i use to think the same that it is not a sin to be over weight.... but people behave with you like you are a sinner.. and that you've done a huge crime..

You are not alone, I am overweight too. Try to come up with a plan and stick with it, you can do this!
