thanks everyone.
My dr said they are phasing out the band because it has so many complications. Mine was covered by my insurance since I was diabetic and other things wrong with me. I am now off the meds for that! woo hoo and I am down 21 lbs as of this morning.

just thought I would update. I had forgotten about this post actually lol. Anyway I am down 61 pounds! I feel amazing! I can do things I haven't been able to do in years! I have an amazing man in my life and he fully supports me and reminds me to eat. lol

I just went to a bariatric surgery seminar today. I think I'm going to try to proceed but I heard its really hard with a psych diagnosis to get it covered, at least with medicare.

it wasn't hard at all. you just have to be ready to have this type of surgery hon. You have to want it for yourself. I am a medicare patient myself.

Thanks for the info. I've been big my entire life. I've tried dieting fad's and they have never really worked. I go to my nutrition class on the 4th of May.
