snap66. Someimes i add a big handful of salad-type greens to my soup, like baby kale or spinach or turnip. A can of mushrooms is also good to add to stuff.

I eat 5% Fage Greek yogurt which isn't too bad by itself. I put a tablespoon of cinnamon of in it today and I had to stir it so much since it was not my intention to do the cinnamon challenge. I ate a Lunchable around 1AM since I was hungry from yesterday. Also this morning at 6:30 with the yogurt I had a couple bananas. I had a mini bag of white cheddar Skinny Pop popcorn and this little container of panda cookies at 10. I had a late lunch early dinner of 2 cups of Annies sweet potato pumpkin mac and cheese. I'm at about 1540 calories today and still at 166 pounds. I may have some Starkist tuna later.

Well I just got back from my run so I’m getting that bit right. I’m not always getting my intake right though, I’m eating good home cooked food but there’s been too much added junk for my own good really.

Still 166. I didn't eat very well today. I had a couple full calorie sodas and a couple pieces of chocolate. Then I had a decaf iced latte and a couple bagel bites all before 9AM. I did eat a couple bananas. I've had 1,458 calories and I need to eat more especially since I ate everything so early. I just have to get my stomach under control. I have another yogurt and crackers and stuff.

So I noticed I’m in danger of eating bad choices when I’ve been active (or stressed and active like I have been at work recently), and today I ran and swam and then popped into the store, I got some Nakd Bars which are pressed dried fruit, nuts and cocoa powder and orange oil, no added sugar but of course lots of natural sugars in the dried fruit. Omg it tasted so good, and I felt sated after one, although I’d had a post swim banana too. It’s probably not a good idea to eat too many (still got high natural sugars I think) but surely healthier than snarfing down chocolate like I have been.

This morning was kind of rough. I ate one entire container of tic tacs 60 total, then 2 other almost full containers. I also had a zero sugar 28oz Gatorade, a full calorie 20oz Gatorade and a can of Starbucks pumpkin cold brew. I had a pouch of tuna at 4 and a can of Coke at 7. The rest of the day was pretty good. I had some protein graham crackers, a plain Chobani Greek yogurt with cinnamon and a banana for lunch. I had a bowl of organic plain oatmeal for an afternoon snack, then dinner will be 2 pieces of tilapia. I am at 1,471 calories for the day including dinner.

I did a 30 minute workout today. 210 crunches with my ab roller, 30 arm curls on each arm with my 8 pound kettle bell, 30 squats with my 5 pound kettle bell, and 30 side bends on each arm with my 5 pound kettlebell although I could have used the 8 pound. I needed some OTC pain meds and some icy hot for my neck, but it wasn't too bad. I'm working out Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I'm starting to look not too bad. My weight is still 166 but theres been definte muscle increase.

Still stressed from work but somehow I’m doing better with healthy food choices, sugar cravings are gone, no idea how or why. I’m actually surrounded by sugary stuff at work with Christmas stock but for some reason it seems to counteract the craving. My supervisor left a chocolate bar in my locker on Monday and I still haven’t felt like eating it.
Run today and run and swim hopefully tomorrow. Not far or fast but good enough for me. |

I wasn't too hungry today. I had a whole milk yogurt for breakfast and a hot dog for lunch. For dinner I had some high protein greek yogurt with cinnamon, a piece of gouda cheese, and a pink lady apple. I was heavy on the soda but still only at 1321 calories total for the day. I haven't worked out in 2 days so I'll have to do it tommorow and Sunday.

I think working out in the afternoon is better then in the morning. I have more stamaina and I can push myself but not too much.. I got some new workout equipment from 5 Below. That place is amazing to get stuff from but its only out at this time of the year and it sells out super fast. Today I did 100 crunches with my ab roller, 138 steps with my step thing I got from 5 Below, 30 squats with my 5 pound kettlebell, 2 different types of arm weights with my hand held weights, 30 reps each. I also tried my new 3 pack resitance band. I tried doing 30 overhead triceps and 30 squats with the band. I think I was half succesfully at doing them right. I'll have to work with it more to figure it out. I worked out for half an hour, but I'm not sore or anything. I had water and a 15 gram protein yogurt afterwards. As for food I'm just under maintence for me.

Oh I took a break from this because I fell off the healthy eating bandwagon over Christmas and I’m weighing heavier which is to be expected given the amount of chocolate I’ve eaten since Christmas.
I was supposed to do sugar free January but that’s an epic fail. I need to watch my blood sugar levels, as they’re higher than they should be so I know I need to do better. I guess I should credit myself with keeping up exercising over this time which has probably helped a bit but I know no amount of exercise cancels out poor diet. A few bold and italic prints here, it’s aimed at no one but myself. I know all these things about healthy diet so why do I keep on doing them to myself? Stress plays a part, and I think I’m an emotional eater. Anyhow I’m not totally cutting sugar out but I’m cutting down a lot, no more chocolate, and trying to up my healthy choices as often as possible. On the up side did well with 3 runs and 1 swim this week so far, and lots of walking. |

I'm still looking a bit on the scrawny side. And still getting crap from people about my lack of food and the quality of what I am eating when I do eat. I'm still around 168 pounds but I've put on a lot of muscle since working out for 30 minutes 2-3 times a week. So I look about 10 pounds less. Basically I just look like a small guy but no one ever pays any attention when I'm out in public. Even the 6'3 250 pound truck drivers don't pay me any attention when I'm at gas stations. Calorie wise I try not to go above 1600 on the days I don't workout. 1800 on the days I do workout.

Doing better since last post, I have the eating under control, running a couple of times and swimming- the pool is full at the moment though with a lot of new year resolutions I suspect so not as relaxing as it can be.

I've put on weight and its weird because my eating hasn't changed much and I don't look like I've put on weight and my clothes all fit the same. So maybe its mostly just muscle. Idk. I was 175 this morning. I think like 7 pounds is legit weight gain though because I was taking Unisom for awhile which causes weight gain. But before I was hanging around 166-168 and maintaining that pretty well. During the summer I was 158 but then I started working out.

Hi, I've lost 25 lbs in about 3.5 months. Still need to lose another 10-15. I try to eat one meal a day and then snack on fruits and veggies, Lately, I've been sneaking in some candy and junk food. I wonder if there is anything I can eat that will stop the eating of said junk food.

I’ve got a new med and I’ve put a little weight on already, apparently this one does that, however so far this med seems to be helping me so it’s possibly a price worth paying.
Of course I’m bang on middle age so there’s that to factor in, it really seems to go on way quicker and easier than a few years ago when I could mostly eat anything I got a couple of runs in this week and even brought my kit away with me to a hotel, I ran first thing and the spot where I ran was a course I ran years ago so much faster than now. Telling myself of course I’m going to be slower. I entered a half marathon and don’t know if I’ve got a place yet but going to have to reconcile myself to being slower on that too! |
