Despite falling yesterday, I got back to it today. Best to just bite the bullet & not worry about things that may or may not happen in the future. discombobulated that pathway along the coast sounds like heaven to run on! I wish I had something like that here.
My program gave me an extra optimized run for today. The run had 5 min warmup & cooldown walks, 40 min run, 5 min walk, 10 min run. I was strong on the 40 min run and could have kept going, but after the 5 min walk I struggled with the last 10 min run. Still, I did make it. However, the program must have noted that I slowed down then so it gave me another optimized run before moving on to day 2 of the week. I'm still waiting for cooler weather. Running in nearly 80F degree temperatures with high humidity is really not the ideal running weather for me. I envy everyone with actual fall weather! The nice thing about this running is that I can eat whatever I want now and maintain my weight. I've lost 9 lb. total (my BMI is still in the healthy range, no worries there). I have actually been doing a good job of maintaining my weight these past 3, 4 weeks despite my ED thinking that would rather me lose weight. I definitely have to employ CBT thinking to get around the ED stuff. I've just been snacking today. I'm not in the mood for legit meals. Just stuff like rice cakes and apple sauce and a protein bar. Its probably med related. I did get a caramel oatmilk macchiato too.

I've had some freeze dried strawberries today. Not sure if it really counts as fruit but it says just strawberries or something on the bag. I've been in a cereal mood today. I've had some coffee too. I
I'm at 860 calories and 166 carbs. My protein sucks though. I have some triple zero Oikos yogurt. 2 of them would bring my protein way up. __________________ I'm Blue |

I had a good run today. The program gave me another additional optimized run today before moving on in the program. Today's run was nearly a repeat of yesterday's - warmup & cooldown walks, 40 min run, 3 min walk, 10 min run. Today's run was a lot easier than yesterday's. I finished the last 10 min segment without nearly as much effort as yesterday. So it was 50 min of running and a 60 min workout in totol, well a bit over 1 hr. as it took me another 10 min or so to walk back to the house. I have 1 or 2 more interval runs, and then the program shifts to a 50 min straight run and not too long after that to the 60 min. run. The program stops there, and I definitely won't have run 10K by then as I don't come close to finishing 5K in 30 min, but I'm not going to stress over the distance. After that, I think there may be a running fitness maintenace program offered that I may try and if not, I may just repeat some of the weeks on the program I'm currently using.

I got a pad out yesterday morning when it was dry and still, I enjoyed it, not fast at all just nice easy pace. Lots of people out on the coast early on including plenty of ladies in their dry robes who’d been sea swimming- brave souls.
Today I got up but it was foul weather out there, windy and rainy. Don’t mind a bit of light rain but this was heavy stuff. So I got on with small chores instead. Actually talked with my therapist yesterday about the need to be flexible with exercise and not set rigid goals/beat oneself up as it’s counterproductive. That was me a few years ago, it’s not me now though. |

Glad you were able to get out for a jog @Discombobulated. All my runs are at nice easy paces. My run was a repeat of yesterday's with a slightly shorter walk interval so 50 min total broken up into a 40 min run, 2 min walk, 10 min run. Most of the run was nice and easy but the last 5 min were a bit of a struggle. Now I've got another optimized run next before finishing up the week.
The overnight low is 66F! I just had a few apple sauce pouches and a yogurt pouch since I don't feel good. I'm going to try to eat some of a Pilsbury crescent taco ring for dinner

Not doing real well. I can't seem to get up energy to get the exericise I know I need, and I am regaining the weight I've lost.

I really don't know what I kept down. I ate a sleeve of Ritz crackers throughout the day and an Atkins bar for breakfast. Then I had coffee and an iced tea. My lose it app says 1600 calories but I haven't felt the greatest again.

This morning it was cooler outside, mid-60s. low humiditiy, so the runing weather was a LOT nicer than it had been though to make it ideal there needed to be a breeze.
I had an optimized run to finish out the week with a 45 min run, 2 min walk, 5 min run and of course warmup & cooldown. I finished the 45 min run segment nice and strong, but the short 5 min interval at the end was a struggle. I think you are right @Discombobulated in saying that running intervals is harder than running straigh segments. The way I felt this morning, it would have been much easier to run 50 min straight instead of broken up. Now I'll be starting on the last week of 10K runner next week which will end with the 60 min run. I’m actually losing weight since I haven’t had any sugary treats in the house for a week. Like I binge on them constantly. And not having ANY has caused me to lose 5 lbs. it’s a start. I need to keep this up though. Sweets are my downfall. I honestly think I was going through sugar withdrawals this week from cutting so far back on the sugar. Cause I was so irritable and angry. But now it feels like it’s leveled out and I’m in a better mood. Goal is to just not bring that stuff in the house in the first place. If it’s not here I won’t binge on it. I won’t go out of my way to go buy something if it’s not already here.

That's awesome Blue_Bird. It gets easier with time. I actually just don't eat sweets (well maybe I do like once or twice a month). At first when I stopped eating candy/cookies/etc., I craved them a TON. But it got less over time, and now I don't crave sweets at all most of the time. It's made me buy fewer sweets too, so they are not in the house for H & my daughter to eat. At first H would ask about not having many sweets around, but now I'm not sure he & my daughter even notice it much as no one has remarked on it in forever. It's great that you lost weight too! Congrats

I can’t have sweets or chocolate in the house - if I do I will seek them out and eat them. Therefore I don’t get them in, with the exception of cookies that I ask my husband to hide away from me.
I also am fine if I don’t have sugary foods at all, I only crave them if I eat them. It’s odd. Well done on your realisation Bluebird! |

I have a whole basket full of candy bars on my night stand but I ignore them most of the time. Idk why they don't appeal to me.
I've had about 1300 calories today in legit food. I had 2 Greek yogurts, and 2 pieces of wheat bread, and a can of reduced sodium vegetable lentil soup, and I tried Sonics new witches brew slush. Not sure if or what I'll eat for the rest of the day. I put my goal at 1500 today. __________________ I'm Blue |

I had a great run this morning. I did a 45 min run and finished nice and strong. With a warmup & cooldown and walk home, it ended up being around a 1 hr. workout. It was nice out this morning in the mid-60s again, but unfortunately, I think the morning low is supposed to start creeping up again. I can't wait until fall really gets here!

I charged my Garmin fitness watch and ordered $50 worth of health food from Walmart. I've had 695 calories, 73 carbs, and 40 grams of protein.

I had a good run this morning. It was a 55 min straight run, and I actually did it! The next run is a repetition, and then the program moves to the 60 min run where it ends. I won't be at 10K yet, but jogging 60 min. straight is plenty for me!
