I feels so great....I haven't logged in to my facebook since Sunday and I don't care about it....

I was so addicted to facebook and obsess with my ex-boyfriend what he does, where he goes....and for sure, he knew that and he was using the facebook to tease me to show off how wonderful is his life without me!!!!
Now, I feel the power, I don't care....I don't login into it, and I don't have any desire to be on it....let all people on my facebook think what has happened to me....If they are true friends, they can call me or email me....

just wanted to share with you guys....I feel the power in myself....and I'm not wasting my time on facebook....I rather do other things than spending hours on facebook....

I never knew facebook can be my addiction....but it was, I was addicted to it...constantly, I was checking my facebook...now, I don't and I don't care who wrote what on his/her status....

with love
Marjan
Thanks for this!

(((((((marjan))))))))))))

You've done something I'm barely able to do - congratulations! I gave up Facebook once (I got my friends to lock me out, literally) for two weeks. I basically went crazy.

Good for you!

Now that I'm off from facebook, I feel so powerful and I have lots of time to do other stuff....I really don't have any desire to get back on it even....if anybody wants me, can email me or call me directly....besides, I can get emails from facebook if there is any kind of emails....then I email my friend's back saying that I'm not on facebook....
I didn't delete my account and I barely told people....but they will figure out as I'm not writing anything on my status!
Honesty, facebook is so dump....most people are using it for showing off....I don't want to know this much details about people's life....
I hated it after my break up with my boyfriend....he kept posting pictures with different girls and partying stuff...and he was posting on his status how wonderful his life is....I hated it, because he wanted to piss me off and well...he was...I was getting so obsess with him knowing what he does or where he goes!!!!!
Now, he can't bother me anymore....and I feel I have a healthy life back....
I did it, you can do it too...

Be careful about all or none thinking; Facebook wasn't the problem, how you chose to use it obviously was? There's no difference between Facebook and any other site, including PsychCentral or being on the Internet and not using computers at all, etc. It sounds like you found a solution to your ex-boyfriend bugging you (by not being where he is). THAT was the problem, not whether or not you are on the computer/use Facebook.

I once deleted every account online I had, and wrote a novel with the amount of free time I had (PC is the exception because it actually has a positive effect on me). You'll be surprised to see how much free time you have now...use it as you will!

True...PC doesn't give me stress....I was getting stress by facebook or gmail chat...It felt like wasting my time....but on PC, I can help others and others are helping me....I know it can be addictative as well, but I'm okay with it....
To me PC is like fruits versus facebook which is a junk food!!!!

well done my friend
I don't want to delete my account as I see it as a contact directory now....I just don't need to know what other people do in their day to day life....
It was really getting into my nerve the whole updating the status and reading about others what they do....I prefer to paint or read a book rather than stacking on facebook....but I will keep my account as just like a contact directory!
