I easily get sad. And Everytime I sad I play a movie from my dvds collection. The problem is, I can't stop. When a movie finish, I will play next movie and so on. I can't stop. I don't do my homeworks, stop attend classes, and stay in bedroom all day. It ruins my life. Can someone give me advice how to stop this?. Thanks.

I'm not able to help but I can sort of understand the issue. I have an online friend since many years who watches his DVD's over and over basically all day long. In his case I think he finds it somehow soothing. He doesn't do anything but eat, sleep and watch DVD's.

Self comforting behaviors are difficult, they are there for a reason, so hard to break.

I can relate. Until my computer died a week ago I was on the internet or watching Netflix or playing video games almost all my waking time. I knew it was interfering with me being productive but couldn't stop.
