Hello aholi, welcome to Psych Central.
Well, you have made a good decision in joining the community here, it's a great self-help group and hopefully you will get lots of tips and support here. The best treatment for Bipolar and PTSD is medication and psychotherapy. If you are not well enough to go back to work then your doctor is right. Stress has a big part in this and the stress of work might tip you over the edge, so listen to your doctor. Here are some helplines that might be of some assistance for you. Telephone, Hotlines and Help lines | Psych Central There is help out there to help you keep your head above water. Hang in there, you are not alone. ![]()

I am sorry that you are struggling right now. I have ptsd and bipolar as well as a few other disorders so I know how difficult it is. I am working hard to keep it together without losing everything. I hope you find some comfort here.
