Hi I'm still new here and am hoping to get advice on how to explain to my family that it's nothing they have done to make me the way I am I hate myself for making them feel like they need to somehow change because they are perfect and I love them more than I could ever explain they are the only reason I'm still here but if I'm making them feel bad then maybe I should go

Hello, terableedepressed. Would you consider talking to a mental health professional about this? I hope so.

Hello terableedepressed, I am sorry you are struggling so much right now. Depression is awful and can make us feel bad and guilty and it can make us feel like it is our fault. I have briefly looked at your profile and your family are old enough to understand. You can explain to them as best as you can and you can show them information either on the internet or give them a leaflet about it. All about depression >>>> Depression Symptoms, Information and Treatment - Psych Central

I can also see on your profile that you have been on medication for 2 years and you feel that it is not working, please go back to your doctor and try a different medication or it may need adjusting. Psychotherapy is also very useful so it would be good to look into this also.

Hi and thank you for responding to my post I really appreciate it. I have an appointment on Monday to see a Psych. so that I can get my medicines adjusted or changed and to maybe start to talk to someone. Me and my family have been talking more openly about my depression and that feels good. Please message me if u ever wat to talk. Thank you again for responding
