Hello moodycow,

No not weird at all! Take it slow and do what you feel ok. It can feel very overwhelming if you read all the threads, pick those that you feel you want to contribute too. Remember it is a self-help community so use it to help yourself and if you feel up to it that will help others. We are all in the same boat here.

Hi Moodycow,

Yes, there's a lot happening here. I say, take PC in small doses--like any other medication. I've learned which forums tend to trigger my depression and how to control the amount of threads I read--even the lighter stuff. If I read more than a few, it does become overwhelming.

Hi Moody,

I agree with the previous posters as well; I don't think you're weird. PC is huge in itself and it's easy to get lost, caught up, motivated, triggered or a mixture of them all. It might make it easier to try to focus on a selection of threads (I focus on psychotherapy, self injury and coping); that way it kind of shrinks it all into perspective. More of a square photo than a panorama lol. If you immediately log on and feel a bit overly stimulated, perhaps try redirecting to catching up on old threads, or low response posts, or maybe leaving the site all together and coming back either after a few breaths or maybe when things have calmed down some. I think PC is one of those things that everyone has to kind of find their rhythm with. Glad it's helping but sorry its stressing you out at the same time.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
