Hi, i was wondering for those w/ experience on anxiety medication, which SSRI was the one you found to be the most effective w/ least side affects (weight gain, sexual side affects, suicidal risks, ease of getting off it)?

Brintellix, it's the only SSRI that works on 7 of the 5-ht receptors where the others only concentrate on 2-3. But, I prefer Aplenzin, Nefazodone or an SNRI since the SSRIs all poop out...best of luck!

The issue though is your own body's chemistry and that cannot be accounted for until they are tried unfortunately to know what works best for you with the fewest side effects. Talk with your doctor to find what will work best for you. If you have to try more than one, hopefully not, keep a record of what happen with each and any side effects, it will help narrow down the possibilities to find the right match for you.

Every SSRI affects each of us differently. There is no *one* best one for all. Certain ones may have a lower side effect profile, but that doesn't mean you won't experience side effects while on it. Unfortunately its a try it and see sort of thing. I wish you the best!
