Has anyone else experienced this? It feels really weird. I feel like I'm not in reality when this happens. I've had times when I'm walking and I feel like I'm in a different world. This happened to me when I was on a boat trip with my family. I was kneeling down and I felt like I was in another world or wasn't in reality and I started panicking. I told myself, "I need to ground myself". I was OK after. I really don't know what these are.

Hello MissInvisible, this sounds like dissociation, read this interesting article, it tells you all about it. It is actually a coping mechanism. In-Depth: Understanding Dissociative Disorders | Psych Central
