Anyone know if symbicort inhaler causes or increases anxiety? I took my inhaler before therapy so I wouldn't cough all through the session...and I felt extremely agitated

Symbicort is a combo med-it has budesonide/steroid anf formetarol-long acting bronchodilator. The long acting bronchodilators-can cause-in some people-increase heart rate, tremors, some anxiety/nervousness.***itcan cause these symptoms in people who have no bipolar, anxiety, MI. ***check with your pharmacist and pdoc to see if they think affecting you because it mayb making symptoms worse or not. Or they could feel you really need and are trying to look at side effects vs how much you need it. Also there are 2other meds that are similar-your md might recommend advair or dulera.***I am not md
Thanks for this!

I haven't had that effect at all, just a bit of temporary throat irritation from the propellant and solvent chemicals.
Thanks for this!

I couldn't use it because it made me feel totally wired and anxious. I felt like I'd taken speed and then 100 cups of coffee. Not pleasant.
Thanks for this!

This is how I felt. It's part my fault because I'd already had my morning dose but was still coughing about 2:00pm, so used the inhaler again right before therapy. I didn't know what was wrong with me. I Was getting ready to let her refer me to. Pdoc for anxiety/depression med management!
