I knew someone who had been working to support his mother since the time he was 10 years old. That's because the father died and the mother had problems and couldn't work. The son kept on working throughout his youth. It seems as though he was doing so for his mother. After several tries when he was about 20, he eventually established a very successful business. But it seems as though he was doing all of this for his mother. He seemed to be living his life for his mother. She was the most precious thing to him.
Then one day he got in an argument with someone and that person insulted his mother calling her horrible names. He then went out and got a gun and murdered that person. He said that he didn't care what insults that person made but when he insulted his mother that was the end of the line. This person was a product of Parentification and Adultification. It seemed like in some way this person's relationship with his mother was threatened by the person who insulted her. That somehow caused some kind of emotional overprotection reaction of some sort which to him meant that he had to murder that person that insulted his mother. Are there any case histories out there or does anyone know anything about this specific subject or something similar to that where children who have been parentified or adultified have made such an unusual bond with their parent that if that bond is somehow threatened it can make them react in violence. |

i am sure there are many cases built on that premise but you would have to search for them; however many of fights have been caused by insulting mothers when a man just loves and respects his mother deeply as well. It is a family pride thing, parentification doesnt have to be involved. the statement of "meant he had to murder" would fall under excuse making for the parentified child as i dont think we even say because somebody is a sociopath meant they had to murder. regardless of somebody's upbringing, murder is a typically a choice.

The man was in love with his mother. As in that Greek Story. It does happen. Murder happens when there is anger and depression involved.
