Particularily in Alberta. First time I was arrested I got into a program that lead me to therapy... But I was arrested again (nearly a year later). I feel so stupid and ashamed I was 18 days away from seeing if I was going to be accepted into an inpatient program for an ED and then would go to a trauma treatment centre. Sure ****ed that all up if I have to go to jail....
What. A dumbass. |

I do not know the answer to this question. Perhaps this organisation might be able to assist you. It's Legal Aid in Alberta - have a look at their website and see if its worthwhile contacting them: Legal Aid Alberta |

IDK about Canada, but in the U.S., sometimes a judge will allow a person to go into a treatment facility and if they complete the program, the charges may be dismissed. Or they might be put on probation after completing the program.
I hope things work out for you. |

Some times messing up, is safer than taking the risk of success. You do deserve success!
