Hello GiveMeHope, welcome to Psych Central.

It could be many things, either a mental health issue or there could be a physical reason for it such as hormones for example. We can't diagnose on the internet but you might like to try these online tests and then print out the results for your doctor >>>> The Sanity Score - Test Your Mental Wellness and Psychological Tests and Quizzes Please see your doctor.

I am a bipolar rapid cycler so this sounds a lot like me. I can have two good days in a row and then be down for the next two. In a nutshell, I am unpredictable. You never know what you're going to get.

But it could be a combination of mood and environment too. My surroundings can make things worse for me. So for people like me, I don't do well in chaotic environments. I hate crowds, traffic, and loud environments in general and this can trigger some anger and depression.

My job (which I despise because it is so chaotic and demeaning) doesn't help and a feeling of being "trapped" or a failure makes it worse. I am looking for a new job with a renewed spirit so sometimes a change in job can be good.

My mood swings are made worse by too much coffee and sugar.
