I am so stressed about going to a hospital. She had such a bad experience last time. Many different meds tried took a long time. Bad reaction had suicide reactions to meds. Thanks for replying trying to figure this out.

Hey there !
With that situation, going to a hospital (psychiatrist) is a must. Hope this experience is better than the previous one. Meds do trigger suicidal thoughts, true that! I have experienced that myself when I started taking meds(anti-depressants), but it is known that after couple of days/weeks (depends on individual-medication-dose) those thoughts will fade a way. So stay strong and hope things get better soon for your daughter. Just keep an eye on her if you know what I mean ..

Cheers!

She made it through the night. Took a sleeping pill. She has counseling appt this week. Im going to call her regular physician to see if she will see her for some meds till she sees psychiatrist. I just dont think she will check into hospital willingly right now. Thanks for the advice. Im trying to figure this out. If things change she will be going. Cant take much more

If she has a counselor, I would try contacting them to see if he/she could get her in asap to talk about what is going on and what they would recommend.
Thanks for this!

I did call the counselor. But it was before this happened. She just started with this group her 3rd appt this week. She makes evaluation and then she sees a Mental Health Nurse. Which may take a couple more weeks! She also sees an endocrinologist this week to check hormones etc she has PCOS I still want her checked out to see if that is causing problems any higher than normal levels. She takes about half the meds she is suppose to take for that. Hasnt seen endo in 5 yrs. I hope she goes to appts its a must she sometimes trys to get out of it I dont no why. She is not leaving the house cause her car is not working Im very concerned about her not doing much. Im going to have to get her car fixed or another car. Not easy.

The appt went pretty well endo says she wants to do bloodwork to check everything to rule out things medical She has PCOS where she can have high testosterone and other problems. Anyway long story short. She left college this past semester for screaming yellng at a fewpeople took a medical leave. Shes in the hospital for 72 hrs shes just not stable up and down. She doesnt think she has any problems. She has to get her mood stabilized and anger. We will seehow it goes from here. Will be back at hospital tmrw

Hi Everyone if anyone is there, thanks SpringLover Just got back from visiting my daughter in hospital. When she was admitted yesterday they gave her Geodon and ativan to calm her down. She slept most of the day when she woke up she was pretty calm talking to us. Wanted to know when she was leaving. Shes there till monday if not longer. Spoke to her late last night ok. Nurse told me they gave her Resperdal sp?to sleep and today Depakote. She was pretty manic when I visited her callng me a traitor and more.Really bad angry crying a little does not want meds. She had resperdol and depakatote before not good!.Spoke to nurse said she could switch her back to Geo and Ativan. Nurses are slow to help didnt look like they were that busy. Im out of my mind now. Shes 29 she signed something to let us discuss care. Also working on Healthcare Power of Attorney. Dont know which meds making her bolistic. The doc told nurse bipolar not official.I want all her endocrine things checked. We havent spoken to doc yet weekend crap I dont know find out more tmrw.

I hope things do pick up for you and your daughter Paz. Can she possibly go into a group home, when she is stable, to take the pressure off you?
