what I can say is that here in the USA yes it is possible for an american to have more than one mental disorder. here its called being dual diagnosed. to find out if in your location (canada) treatment providers can legally diagnose their clients with more than one mental disorder at the same time. one thing that jumps out at me in your post is you stated you have been told, but you dont state whether it was a treatment provider that told you this, or a friend or someone online somewhere .... if its not a treatment provider that is treating you with these mental disorders my suggestion is contact a treatment provider and go through the diagnostics process for your location instead of possibly casing your self undue stress and harm by believing someone who isnt your doctor, therapist, psychiatrist. only a qualified treatment provider off line and in your own location can legally diagnose you with a mental disorder or more than one mental disorder... if the person who told you, that you have two mental disorders is your treatment providers then that in itself answers your question of whether you can have both mental disorders. |
