I'll try not to ramble here. Anyway, I've been suffering from anxiety and depression for quite a long time. First, I was put on Lexapro and it seemed to help for a bit. Then, the depression got worse and I was put on Wellbutrin. Not long ago my p-doc upped my Wellbutrin because my depression was getting worse. I had a med check last week and told her my concerns that I seemed to be on edge all the time so I didn't know if the Lexapro was no longer working or not. She decided to lower my Wellbutrin because she said it can have an anxiety inducing effect. I've been on the lower dose for just over a week now and the depression seems to be coming back with a vengeance. It's like pulling teeth to get motivated to do anything, and I feel like I just want to cry most of the time.

I honestly think it's a combination of the lower dose Wellbutrin, and a very good friend of mine is moving on Monday, and she'll be almost 15 hours away. I think this has triggered quite a bit of the depression, but I also believe the lower dose isn't helping.

Any thoughts? Between the two, I think I can deal with the anxiety more than the depression, but I'd rather have to deal with neither.

There are always a lot more options to try if these meds don't work. I agree that the anxiety is a little easier for me to deal with than the depression. Hopefully your doctor can find a combination that takes care of both issues. Right now my depression is okay but my anxiety is over the top, but my pdoc is changing one of my meds hoping to make it better, but I also have hand tremors real bad so we are trying to find something that doesn't cause them, too.

Your friends moving may be playing a big part in it too. That is a long distance but fortunately with all the technology it's easier to keep in tough these days. No waiting at the mailbox for days waiting on letters.

I hope you feel better soon.

If it wasn't for the technology, I don't know what I'd do. We agreed to text, Facebook or email each other at least once a week.
