ok guys well ever since I have had anxiety i get a dry mouth and throat. Thats why when i go out either for a walk or whatever I carry around a bottle of water. But here is my problem I do Karate once a week and almost every time even in just the first 10 minutes I get a dry mouth and throat to the point where i feel like I'm going to choke and die. So what i do is i have to get a bit of saliva and use my tongue and rub it around my mouth, i know sounds weird but if i don't do it I will die.

They only allow us to get drink breaks every now and then but when this dry mouth and throat thing happen i get a little panic attack but i don't go anywhere then we will have to start doing exercise and it makes it even worse lol.

So my question is, is it all in my head? also how do i deal with this?

No, it's not all in your head. When I am stressed my mouth is as dry as sand. I normally carry around a bottle of water. If you can't do that there are mouth sprays that can help. The brand out here is Biotene. Visit your local pharmacy. They should be able to suggest something.

Can you mention your problem to some-one at the place where you do karate? Maybe they can suggest a solution. If not..... time to seek another place to bust your chops.

Yeah I'm on Olanzapine 5mg and EFEXOR-XR 150mg. But I was getting this problem before I started taking medication too.

Try taking a class where you feel not so anxious in. Karate in it self would cause some anxiety in me, as it is!

I also have a dry mouth due to my medications - I have water nearby always. Maybe a more relaxing exercise like yoga would be better than karate?

There could be a physical issue going on here, so please go and see your doctor about it.

This has answered my question, my throat has been constantly dry for a while due to my issues. Especially after I wake up.

This is possibly related to your dilated pupils. You should talk to a doctor about these symptoms.
