I have severe depression and anxiety. Lately the depression has been worse than usual. I feel lonely, empty inside. I'm really hurting. I need help coping with this.

Hi littleman1,

As a rule of thumb, I'll ask, are you currently undergoing any treatment for your depression and anxiety?
It is good, also, to reach out to others that may be going through the same or similar.
Really sorry it's so difficult, right now. It is something to recover from and/or manage.

((((Gentle Hugs))))
Thanks for this!

I'm so sorry this is happening to you. I have depression took though not anxiety, so I know a little of what you're feeling. I hope you can find a method of coping that works for you. You may want to try continuing to post here at PC; sometimes just sharing how you feel can help. I know it's helped me. Take care.

I'm in treatment. The meds help, but lately the depression is worse. Just feel hopeless, sad all of time, just worthless.
Thank you for the encouraging words.

I'm so sorry that you're feeling like this. I'm glad that you're here though! You're not worthless i can assure you! You have value, and you could NEVER be replaced. You are wanted, and accepted here.

There also could be other options, or options that could add to what you have now(treatment wise). if you're an animal lover, there are therapies involving animals that might be helpful. (ex. Horse therapy, and hospital building pet therapy).

hello littleman1, i'm really sorry you're going through this. ive suffered depression and anxiety for a while now, and during certain times to gets really bad for me so I have a feel for what you're going through. something that helped me was to try my best to see the positive in every little thing. now honestly I fail at doing this because its hard, I see the negatives. but try for me please! I wish you the best of luck
Thanks for this!

When healing during treatment, you may feel worse as you heal. This is normal as you let go of old feelings. I think you will do well.
Thanks for this!
