I don't know what's causing this. I've had this problem since early last year.

You could tell me something many times and I'd eventually forget it. I can't concentrate when I'm reading, and even when I manage to concentrate, I end up forgetting everything I've read.

I've not read books in ages because of this, and I used to adore reading. And now that I'm studying again, it's caused me to do really badly in many of my exams and I'm so scared.

I don't know why this is happening and I'm speaking to my college counselor about this issue but he doesn't seem to think it's a big deal and that I should take it one step at a time.

While that may be true, the longer I take to fix whatever's causing this, the more exams I'll end up failing. Everything's happening so fast.

My memory have not been good too. I have seen that I can't remember things that happened. I figure it was my depression that was causing it. However, I can read. It's life situations I can't remember or follow somewhat said. Sorry, I was not much of help.

Get a Medical Check up. There could be medical reasons.
Thanks for this!

Will do. I'm not sure if it's psychological or something else, though. Should I just go to a GP?

I'm not much help when it comes to figuring out what doctor to see. I guess if you have a pdoc you could try them first, or just see a GP and go from there.

See your GP. There you can get diagnosed and get a refferal if needed.

are you taking meds? Some psych meds can cause this. I have poor concentration and memory issues. It even surface when I am talking to people and I lose my train of thought or can't think of the word(s) I need to use.

Thank you all. Yes, I'll definitely see a doctor about it. The reason I made this was to know if anyone else struggling with MH issues experienced something similar.
