If you actually are a worthless human being? I mean some of us must have no redeeming value at all and it's probably me. What should I do of I realize that I am objectively of no value whatsoever?

Really? I'd be curious to know what members of your society you think have no redeeming value at all and why that's the case. (No discussing yourself here - even if you think you don't have any value, you can't be the only person in the whole of your city, your state, your country, etc.) What makes a person worthless to society?

Sorry you are feeling so uninspired and unoptimisitic.
you asked:
"Is it really depression?" You decide here is a list of symptoms.
Clinical depression is characterized by the presence of the majority of these symptoms:

Depressed mood most of the day, nearly every day, as indicated by either subjective report (e.g., feeling sad or empty) or observation made by others (e.g., appears tearful). (In children and adolescents, this may be characterized as an irritable mood.)
Markedly diminished interest or pleasure in all, or almost all, activities most of the day, nearly every day
Significant weight loss when not dieting or weight gain (e.g., a change of more than 5% of body weight in a month), or decrease or increase in appetite nearly every day.
Insomnia or hypersomnia nearly every day
Psychomotor agitation or retardation nearly every day
Fatigue or loss of energy nearly every day
Feelings of worthlessness or excessive or inappropriate guilt nearly every day
Diminished ability to think or concentrate, or indecisiveness, nearly every day

Worthless human being would most likely to be linked with little or no self esteem.

You feel this way because your parents neglected you to much when you were growing up. How do you feel around your parents? Do you feel any connection to them??

Welll....I would need to know a lot more about you, annoyedgrunt84. I don't believe that every person who has no redeeming value is depressed...I do think there are a few folks on the earth who really have done a lot more hurting than helping. But quite honestly, just that you are as aware of yourself as you seem to be kind of gives me the feeling that you are worth a lot more than you feel you are.

Also, someone (I'm certainly not saying this is you) could be not the best person and still be depressed, too.

I like what Thunder Bow posted, because I tend to believe we all carry our six year old selves around with us and manifest that little person according to how our environment treated us back then.

I'm just tired of trying to make myself useful, I just want a shop to work in and to grow my pumpkins and read my books, I don't want a job to be frank about it.

What it means, is that when you feel no connections, you feel separate from them. Thus As a small child, you came to the conclusion that you are worthless. Most isolated children feel that way around emotionally distant parents.

Any idea what one would do to heal from such a place of emotional confusion.

Usually cognitive therapy will help. A Therapist can help you understand your childhood, and your childhood feelings.

I really hope the CBT is helpful. Your description of your symptoms really tugged at my heart. I have been where you are. I actually had to go to the extent of ECT. I am truly a proponent of this treatment. It really turned things around for me. I have since been out of the hospital about a month and a half and have been managing well. Seeking help was the best thing I could have done.

Good luck!

You are NOT alone.
You ARE worth it.

No I'm not Kim Kardashian I just feel like life moves too fast and I don't have the energy to keep up and I have just stopped even caring, stopped even trying.
