I believe we are here to get to know our creator. And to ultimately decide if we want to live with Him for all eternity or separated from Him for all eternity. Not trying to offend. That's just my humble opinion.

Here on PC, I am here to not feel so alone. With the hope that maybe there is someone out there like me.. maybe someone out there I can encourage.. maybe someone out there who can encourage me... to try and make sense of and help others and myself get through this crazy life...

Most of the time I try not to contimplate why I am here and just find peace in the fact that I am.

Thanks for replying to my thread.

"maybe there is someone out there like me.. "

Outwardly, I don't say things like that, call it my style.

"Why are we here?" "I am here to learn from you, why are you here?"

"I'm here to help you! "

"Help me learn then. "

I don't know why I wrote that, I'm probably in one of those weird mood again. People take offence in oh so many things, people agree too much to what you say and you get suspicious, I say "No offence", and I fully intended to push your button. So why are we here again? Let's cut the crap and do ya own thing. Isn't it weird though? Whatever I read or see, that's just me reflecting myself on those things I see. I can't help myself, THUS, you're there, helping away!

IRL, if I were to ask this question "Why are we here?", they'd get a little bit offended by the obvious question to them, and then I'd be making a face, awkwardly smiling...

I just googled the big question, got an interesting result.

Why are we here? A question that no one will ever answer so think for your ****ing self Don't believe something just because someone told you to and don't be scared into living someone else's way Don't just say the things you're suppose to say speak for yourself and never give that right away I'm so sick of hearing people say how I should live my life and if I don't follow their rules I will suffer the consequence I will live the way I want to and there's nothing you can say or do that will change me or the way I think So save it for someone else Never be afraid to open up your mind and look at the world through someone else's eyes This is something you should never forget If so then it's not really your life anymore Don't just say the things you're suppose to say speak for yourself and never give that right away Don't just say the things you're suppose to say speak for yourself and never give that right away Speak for yourself

For the general question of why we all are in this universe, what it is all about -- I don't think any of us really know. We have to work it out, I guess, and that will take a while. Lots of work yet to be done. Maybe that's the fun of it.

I'm at PC because I have a mental illness that is life-changing, to say the least. I went from doing legal trials to being on SSDI.

My 16 year marriage was also destroyed but I am ok with that. It takes "two" in a relationship. And I don't do "conditional" love.

I am a lawyer with my undergrad degree in psychology. I love psychology. I wouldn't wish my disease on anyone but it's handy that I like to read, learn, and love psychology.

That is why I'm here.
